Founders is the original nine holes built in 1957 by Bob Baldock under the guidance of the "Founding Fathers". The course is the third oldest in the Las Vegas Valley and present many challenges to golfers of all skill levels.

The opening three holes, Black Mountain's "Amen Corner," will test the best players' skills. The par 4, second hole, measures 430 yards from the back tees, and history shows with the prevailing headwind, it plays much longer.

The par 3, third hole, plays 188 yeards to a small heavily bunkered green with treacherous undulations to complete the 3-hole challenge.

Black Mountain began as a 9 hole course in 1958 and has been transformed into one of the best courses in Nevada. The evolution of Black Mountain Golf and Country Club has been quite remarkable to say the least.

The club is built on proud traditions and on the belief of the original founders to create a facility that families could use for recreation and fun. Our goal is to carry on these traditions and beliefs for years to come.

In 1963 the founding members decided it was time to add a new 9-holes to complete the
Country Club. The expansion was well received by golfers throughout the Las Vegas Valley for years. In 1993 the foresight of the members continued with the introduction of the new Clubhouse and Banquet facility.
